Solo (ソロ Soro?) is an antagonist of the Strider series. He appears as an enemy unit in Namco x Capcom and Project X Zone 2.
Crosspedia
Assassin and underling of Grandmaster Meio. As emotionless as a robot, he obiterates his opponents with precise attacks.
He can carry out long-range attacks with the Impact Cannon attached to his arm or with his missile pods. For close-range attacks, he likes to use the Tail Whip on his head.
He can also use fire energy blasts from the energy ring-like wings affixed to his shouders.
Gameplay
Project X Zone 2
Solo first appears in Project X Zone 2 in Prologue 3: Dancers in Shadows, appearing from the same portal in Shibuya that Strider Hiryu and Natsu emerged from. Hiryu introduces him to everyone present as Solo reveals that he had been hired to kill Hiryu. Solo is defeated by the heroes but manages to escape back into the portal he came from.
Solo's second appearance is in Chapter 7: Going Commando appearing in Cyberspace with several Mavericks. Hiryu once again identifies him to the new people and how he was hired by Grandmaster Meio, who Captain Commando also explains to everyone. Hiryu asks Solo who he is working for and whatever he is planning it will fail. Solo, however, refuses to say anything. He fights the heroes but is defeated, after which he tries to retreat. Hiryu tells him that he previously encountered Tong Pooh and how she was with robots from the Fourth Empire and what he himself is up to. He replies that he doesn't know where Tong Pooh is and he himself hasn't been told anything else before retreating.
Solo's third appearance is in Chapter 14: Renaissance of Fate once again in Cyberspace alongside several archcriminals. Solo reveals that he received intel from Sylphie that Hiryu would be in Cyberspace and says that their group of people can not be ignored anymore. He fights the heroes but is defeated and is forced to retreat due to his injuries. Hiryu asks him what his intentions are and if killing him was his only goal and if he acquired any other information. Solo doesn't answer and just retreats.
Solo's fourth appearance is in Chapter 23: The Shade of the Night, appearing on top of the Balrog alongside Tong Pooh, where he is tasked with dealing with the heroes. He is defeated again and forced to retreat.
Solo's fifth and final appearance is in Chapter 37: Cypher Punk, appearing alongside Tong Pooh, Black Hayato, and Sigma in Zouna's Chamber. He is defeated for the final time and dies from his wounds.
